With the arrival of artificial intelegence, and its easy accessability to everyone, preparing for that important interview is now easier than ever. Here are some AI Prompts you can copy into your favourite AI tool. 

Simply replace the [placeholders] in the prompts below and copy and paste them into you chosen AI service. Lots of services are avail, we like Google Gemini.

Tips on using AI Prompts

  • Be specific: The more detailed your prompt, the more tailored the response will be.

  • Provide context: Include relevant information about your skills, experience, and the specific aspects of the job that interest you.

  • Ask follow-up questions: If the AI's response is unclear or incomplete, don't hesitate to ask for further clarification.

AI Prompt: Prepare for an interview

You are my career coach. Provide a detailed interview preparation guide for an interview for a [Job Title] position at [Company Name]. Include in-depth information on the company's background, 3 key facts and key competitors. Suggest potential interview questions based on the job title and company, common questions for this role, and the Company's specific focus areas. Offer tips on how to effectively answer these questions and how to highlight your strengths and make a positive impression. Ignore anything left is square brackets []. Use a reading age of 15.  Do not include any placeholder text. 

Take into account the following context:

Some general tips for a successfull interview

Research the Company

  • Learn about the company: What they do, their mission, values, and recent news.

  • Understand the role: What are the specific responsibilities and skills required?

Practice Your Answers

  • Common interview questions: Research typical questions and prepare thoughtful answers.

  • Star method: Use the STAR method to structure your responses (Situation, Task, Action, Result).

  • Practice out loud: Rehearse your answers with a friend or family member.

Dress Appropriately

  • Check the company culture: Research the company's dress code.

  • Professional attire: Choose clean, well-fitting clothes that make you feel confident.

Arrive on Time

  • Plan your journey: Factor in traffic and potential delays.

  • Be early: Arrive 10-15 minutes early to settle in and collect your thoughts.

During the Interview

Make a Good First Impression

  • Firm handshake: Greet the interviewer with a firm handshake and eye contact.

  • Positive body language: Sit up straight, maintain eye contact, and smile.

  • Be enthusiastic: Show genuine interest in the role and company.

Answer Questions Clearly and Confidently
